Abstrak

Cleft lip with or without palate (CL+/-P) is the most common congenital abnormality. CL+/-P can be caused by genetic and environmental factors. This is an observational analytical study aimed to determining the relationship between parenteral age with CL+/-P, and observations were made on supporting data with high presentation related to CL+/-P. There were 104 patients who met the inclusion criteria, 54.8% women, 100% aged 0-1 years, 81.7% cleft lip and palate, 84.6% o have nausea and vomiting, other supporting data has a neat presentation. CL+/-P 83.7% of maternal aged are 20-35 years, 72.1% paternal aged are 20-35 years. Analysis of the relationship between the age of maternal and paternal age group with CL+/-P using the Spearman test, obtained p>0.05 H0 is accepted. The correlation coefficient in all maternal age groups between 0.051 – 0.375 means that the strength of the correlation between maternal ageCL+/-P is not significant. Conclusion. Each maternal and paternal age groups had the same risk of CL+/-P incidence and not related to the type of cleft. CL+/-P is most common in the 20-35 years age group, nausea and frequent vomiting is thought to be one of the causes in the incidence of CL+/-P.
