Abstract
The rapid growth of financial technology has introduced various financial products, including Paylater. This service offers users practical benefits in conducting transactions, particularly by providing the option to purchase on credit. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of financial attitudes, experiences, and knowledge ondfinancial management behavior among Paylater users. Furthermore, the research investigates the moderating role of self-control in strengthening the relationship between those factors and financial management behavior. A total of 352 Paylater users were selected as respondents through the Isaac & Michael sampling technique. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that only financial attitude significantly influences financial management behavior, whereas financial experience and financial knowledge show no significant effect. These results suggest that the determinants of financial management behavior may differ across individuals, with financial attitude emerging as a key factor. Consequently, cultivating a positive financial attitude is essential in fostering sound financial management practices.
