Main purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of revenue, operating expenses, and debt to asset ratio (DAR) on net income in construction and building sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period.
Methodology: This research applies a descriptive-verificative method with a quantitative approach on six companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 30 observation units. Data were analyzed using panel data regression with Eviews 12 software.
Findings: The results show that revenue has a significant positive effect on net income. Operating expenses and debt to asset ratio each have a significant negative effect on net income. Together, the three independent variables explain 78.88% of the variation in net income.
Practical implications: Companies are advised to sustain revenue growth, control operating expenses efficiently, and manage debt policy optimally to increase net income. Investors can use these three ratios as a reference in assessing corporate financial performance before making investment decisions.
Originality/novelty: This study updates the observation period to 2018-2022 and combines revenue, operating expenses, and debt to asset ratio in a single model within the construction and building sector, which has rarely been examined simultaneously in recent periods.
