As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Articles submitted to Humanitas Jurnal Psikologi must be original scientific works that have not been published in other media and have not been submitted to other journals, as stated in writing. Articles must be the results of empirical research, particularly in the field of psychology (no more than 5 years).

Article Format

  1. The title should reflect the essence of the article, be distinctive, not too long, and written in two languages: Indonesian and English.
  2. The author's name should be written without academic/professional titles, accompanied by the name and address of the institution, as well as an email address, placed below the article title. If there are more than three authors, all names are listed along with their institutions, but only the corresponding author's email address is provided.
  3. All articles must be accompanied by an abstract in Indonesian and English. The abstract is a clear, complete, and comprehensive explanation that describes the main points of the article. The abstract is written concisely and factually, covering the research objectives, research methods, results, and conclusions. The abstract is written in one paragraph, with a maximum of 200 words, and accompanied by three to five keywords. 
  4. The presentation of the paper follows the basic rules of scientific writing, which includes an introduction, methodology, results and discussion, research implications, suggestions, and conclusions. The writing structure follows the rules of scientific writing. The writing format can be seen in the “template” section.
  5. Articles must be accompanied by primary references and bibliographies. Primary references are scientific journals or magazines, both national and international. At least 80% of primary references must be publications from the last seven years. Primary references must outnumber bibliographies. 
  6. Footnotes should only contain additional information/comments related to the text and should not contain references.

Article Manuscript Format

  1. The article should be between 15-20 pages long (including the abstract, keywords, and bibliography).
  2. A4 paper size.
  3. 5 spacing and Times New Roman 12 font.
  4. Articles must have a maximum similarity of 20% (excluding the bibliography), as indicated in the Turnitin test results

Language

We accept articles written in scientific Indonesian and English.

References

  • References should be created using a reference manager, such as Mendeley or EndNote, or at least the References feature in Microsoft Word using APA Style 6th or 7th Edition.
  • The Bibliography includes sources used in writing the article, consisting of 80% primary and current references (from journals and research conducted within the last 7 years) and 20% text references (within the last 10 years).

References in the form of books are arranged alphabetically according to the author's name, year of publication, book title (italics), translator's name (for translated works), place and publisher's name.

References in the form of articles from books or magazines are arranged alphabetically, listing the author's name, year of publication, article title, editor's name, magazine/book name (italics), page number, place and publisher name.

References in the form of articles/journals are arranged alphabetically by author name, year of publication, title, journal name (italics), volume number, page number, and article DOI.

References from the internet are arranged alphabetically, stating the author's name (if available), year, article title, website address (in parentheses), date, and time of access.

Peer Review Process

For peer review purposes, there are two Word files that must be uploaded:

  1. A file containing the title, author's name, author's institution, and abstract.
  2. A file containing the complete article, without the author's name and institution.

If the article has undergone editing, the author is given time to respond to the editor's questions and revise the article. When making revisions, authors are expected to keep track changes enabled so that the entire revision process can be recorded. Reviewer comments should not be deleted.

 

Article Processing Charge (APC)

The article processing charge is IDR 600,000. It is paid by the author when the article is accepted.
