Peran Job Crafting pada Work Engagement Guru Yayasan “X” di Kota Bandung

Abstrak

Pemenuhan tuntutan tugas dan pekerjaan diperlukan berbagai sumber daya baik yang berasal dari diri guru ataupun organisasi. Pengelolaan job resources yang efektif akan dapat membantu guru untuk memenuhi job demands. JD-R (Job Demands-Resources) model inilah yang diarahkan untuk dapat meningkatkan work engagement guru terhadap pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini ingin melihat peran job crafting terhadap work engagement pada guru. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori work engagement dari Bakker, et al. (2008) dan teori job crafting Tims dan Bakker (2010, 2012). Penelitian ini diarahkan pada guru yang telah bekerja minimal satu tahun di Yayasan “X”. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa regresi hirarki untuk melihat peran job crafting terhadap work engagement, dengan penambahan data-data demografi para guru. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa job crafting berpengaruh terhadap work engagement pada guru. Besarnya nilai korelasi/hubungan (R) sebesar 0,40, dengan koefisien determinasi (R square) sebesar 0,17. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa job crafting sebagai variabel independen memberikan pengaruh pada work engagement sebagai variabel dependen sebesar 17%. Hasil juga menunjukkan bahwa data demografi yang terdiri dari usia, jumlah anak, status pekerjaan pasangan, dan tingkat pendidikan memperkuat peran job crafting terhadap work engagement. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi landasan peningkatan work engagement melalui peningkatan job crafting. Pihak sekolah dapat mengupayakan kebebasan bagi para guru untuk menemukan inovasi dan berkreasi proses pengarajan. Saran dari hasil penelitian ini ditujukan untuk subjek penelitian agar meningkatkan job crafting dan data demografi diri supaya engaged dnegan pekerjaannya. Untuk sekolah, perlu peningkatan job crafting serta penyelenggaraan program pengembangan guru terkait dengan data demografi yang dapat menguatkan peran job crafting terhadap work engagement.
