Efektivitas Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) untuk Menurunkan Stres Kerja Karyawan PT “X” Kota Bandung

Abstrak

Stres kerja merupakan respon negatif yang dialami individu akibat dari tuntutan, kendala, dan kewajiban yang melebihi kemampuannya. Hal tersebut kerap kali dialami oleh karyawan di industri teknologi, termasuk karyawan PT “X” Kota Bandung. Stres kerja yang berlangsung jangka panjang berpotensi menurunkan produktivitas serta memicu berbagai permasalahan kesehatan mental lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) dalam menurunkan derajat stres kerja karyawan PT “X” Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental nonequivalent control-group design dengan masing-masing kelompok berjumlah tujuh karyawan. Derajat stres kerja diukur menggunakan kuesioner The Job Stress yang dikonstruk oleh peneliti berdasarkan simptom yang dikemukakan oleh Robbins dan Coulter (2018) yang akan diukur sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah intervensi (posttest). Analisis data menggunakan nonparametric tests, yaitu Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test dan Mann-Whitney U Test yang digunakan untuk membandingkan skor pretest-posttest dalam masing-masing kelompok serta skor posttest antar kelompok. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest pada kelompok eksperimen, dengan skor stres kerja meningkat secara deskriptif (Z=1.980, p=.048). Selain itu, skor posttest stres kerja kelompok eksperimen secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (U=7.00, Z=-2.243, p=.026). Namun, hasil perbandingan gain score menunjukkan bahwa perubahan skor stres kerja antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol tidak berbeda secara signifikan (U=29.00, Z=.585, p=.620). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa intervensi MBSR dalam penelitian ini tidak terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan derajat stres kerja. Keterbatasan kepatuhan partisipan dalam mengikuti intervensi dan melakukan latihan mandiri menjadi salah satu faktor yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam memahami hasil penelitian ini.
