ABOUT THE JOURNAL
SRJD (Serat Rupa: Journal of Design) is an official open-access journal published under the Maranatha Christian University. The open-access policy refers to the free public-access to read an article. SRJD is intended to accommodate any research publication in areas of Visual Communication Design, Interior Design & Architecture, and Fashion Design. SRJD wishes to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and new research findings in the field of design and culture. SRJD encourages manuscript written by the academician, also from professional designers who need to publish their design process ideas with interesting concepts that could be valuable for the field of design and culture.
We are proud to announce that SRJD has officially achieved national reaccreditation status at Science and Technology Index – SINTA 3 or Rank 3, pursuant to the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology No. 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026.

LANGUAGE
SRJD accept articles written in Indonesian (main language) and English.
PUBLICATION FREQUENCY
SRJD is published twice a year, in January and July.
ARCHIVING POLICY
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
OPEN-ACCESS POLICY
SRJD provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. SRJD is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author.

PEER-REVIEW PROCESS
The submitted articles go through review process by the editorial board and also double-blind review by our peer-reviewers. The review process are carried out each year in May to June (for no.1 publication) and November s.d. December (for no.2 publication). The accepted articles which cannot be publish due to the limited quota we have, will be scheduled to the nearest publication. The flowchart here show the review to publication process.

SRJD charges no article submission or processing fees (APC). Fees only apply to published papers.
