Brain Respiration to Overcome Stress in Working From Home (WFH) Mothers

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Brain Respiration terhadap penurunan derajat stres pada ibu yang work from home (WFH). Brain Respiration merupakan teknik yang sangat ampuh untuk memberikan energi pada otak. Melalui Brain Respiration seseorang bisa mengelola fungsi emosi yang dapat menurunkan stres. Metode Quasi Experimental dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik sampling yang dipergunakan adalah purposive sampling. 30 ibu yang WFH berkontribusi dalam penelitian ini. Sebanyak 15 orang tergabung ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan 15 orang tergabung ke dalam kelompok kontrol. Ibu yang tergabung kedalam kelompok eksperimen mendapatkan Brain Respiration sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak. Derajat stres diukur melalui electrodermal activity (EDA) dengan menggunakan alat biofeedback. EDA mencerminkan aktivasi sistem saraf otonom saat seseorang mengalami kondisi mental tertentu, seperti stres. Statistik nonparametrik Wilcoxon dan Mann Whitney dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil yang diperoleh ternyata terdapat perbedaan derajat stres yaitu berupa penurunan derajat stres pada ibu WFH yang termasuk ke dalam kelompok eksperimen setelah diberikan Brain Respiration (T-hitung = 12, dan T-tabel = 25. Apabila T-hitung < T-tabel maka H0 ditolak).Terdapat perbedaan derajat stres juga pada ibu WFH yang termasuk ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol (hasil U-hitung = 31,5, dan U-tabel = 72. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah Brain Respiration mampu menurunkan derajat stres padaDisaraibu yang WFH Apabila U-hitung < T-tabel maka H0 ditolak). Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil adalah Brain Respiration mampu menurunkan derajat stres pada ibu yang WFH.
